Building resilience of our economies goes through a change of the tourism governance as societal changes are accelerated by the effects of the COVID-19. Digital nomads will travel for longer and concept of holiday will change as digital society evolves and appetite for sustainability values and sustainable consumption: yet leisure time is also a product to consume in a responsible way. Destination management organisations have been accelerating the uptake of digitalisation applied to market intelligence, decision support systems, quality and training programmes on digital tools, social media marketing and collaborative platforms.
