This session is dedicated to explaining how small municipalities, which have an indisputable wealth of heritage, culture, nature, etc., have found in technology an ally to be able to position and enhance the value of this wealth and thus boost their socio-economic development. Their scarce resources and lack of data have not allowed them to get to know their tourists, their habits, but neither have they been able to use new technologies to “sell themselves” or to reach this tourist; in this scenario, technology opens up multiple options to respond to all these questions and to be able to dynamize their territories by generating opportunities in tourism. Opportunities for small businesses and for their hotels, but also for entrepreneurship and innovation. And therefore, the intelligent management of tourism becomes a reason to retain its population, but also a reason to attract talent.
