United Kingdom, Destination Partner 2022

Covid-19 has caused significant challenges in all sectors and industries of our economy. Tourism was probably one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic. Now, two years into the virus, we are finally seeing the end of an era. Although the UK was one of the hardest hit countries in terms of GDP, the future looks positive. Tourism in the UK accounts for 10.1% of the total economy, with a current growth rate of 1.7% and is forecast to reach over £286 billion. These data demonstrate that the United Kingdom has been able to manage the challenges Covid has been facing for the past two years.

That is the main reason why we have chosen the United Kingdom as the guest country for the 2022 congress. On November 2, 3 and 4, 2022 we will hold the third edition of the TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit. We will dedicate an entire pavilion to British companies operating in the sector. We will also discuss at the congress the new trends of the country, its sustainable development, digitalization, regulation and competitiveness.

This year United Kingdom is Guest Country Partner of TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit. The event will gather high-level institutional and business agendas. And all the assistants to TIS will have the opportunity to know, through different conferences, all the strategy that has turned United Kingdom into one of the leading tourism destinations worldwide.
