Meritxell Clemente

Meritxell started her professional career in the airline sector. During that period of time, she held a number of roles at American Airlines, Royal Jordanian and Air France-KLM, including a tenure of 4 years as Key Account Manager for Air France in Madrid, Spain. This role meant that Meritxell was dealing directly with travel agencies and allowed her to gain an understanding of the challenges and opportunities they face. Her interest in the travel agency sector prompted her to join Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) in 2004, as Director of Sales for Spain and Portugal.
Having the provider and subscriber perspective under her belt, she joined Amadeus in 2006 and since the outset has been responsible for developing Amadeus’s hotel distribution, online, leisure, business travel and airlines. Meritxell has a strong multinational background. She speaks 3 languages and she has worked in several countries. She was born in Madrid and she has lived in Buenos Aires, Amman, Tel Aviv and Paris.
