Data sharing in Tourism, turning the vision into real use cases

The data sharing economy will have an important impact in the tourism sector, due to the complexity of this industry, the typology of actors, the cross-border tourism experiences and the own transversality of tourism with other sectors (as mobility, environment, skills, cultural heritage…), factors that need to be analysed to allow all actors of the tourism value chain to benefit from the data sharing possibilities.

The national hub of Gaia-X has a specific working group in the tourism sector in which the main aspects of the data sharing economy on tourism are being analysed as well as different use cases and a lighthouse is starting to be defined to position Spain at EU level.
