To support Spain’s Recovery and Resilience Plan sets out an ambitious agenda to modernise and make the sector more sustainable, the OECD, with the support of the EU Technical Support Instrument, is working with four Spanish regions – Andalusia, Catalonia, Navarra and the Region of Valencia – to develop a common set of indicators to measure and monitor the sustainability of tourism. This session will provide an overview and update on the work carried out by the Spanish regions, as well as discussing with other European regions on the challenges and opportunities of developing and implementing sustainable tourism indicator frameworks.
